Beth Burgess, a discredited reporter, is desperate to recover her occupation by latching on to the story of a young mom punished to life behind bars for incapacitating and killing her spouse, crimes she asserts she really did not devote. In trying to uncover the fact, Beth discovers herself in over her head as she emulates Colorado gun-smugglers, clickbait society, the blue funks of marital relationship as well as her very own damaged past.
