The Baker's Wife

In this little Provencal town, a new baker, Aimable, settles. His partner Aurelie is stunning and much more youthful than he. She departs with a shepherd the night after Aimable produces his first breads. Aimable is so affected that he can not function any longer. As a result, the citizens, that at first poked fun at his cuckoldry, take the matter extremely seriously (they want the bread) and organize a plan to discover Aurelie and to bring her back to the bakeshop.
