It took Peggy Heller a long time to recover from the trauma of a ruthless physical attack, suffered in her youth. When she wed Robert, he offered her with the love as well as peace of mind she craved for and both settled down in a quite residence in the premises of the public college where Robert was a master. However the headmaster of the college is not what he seems and Penny is convinced he indicates to damage her - is her worry an invention of her hurt creativity or are there forces at work that plan to control her anxieties with deadly consequences?
