Film censor Enid takes pride in her meticulous job, protecting unsuspecting target markets from the unhealthy impacts of enjoying the gore-filled decapitations and also eye gougings she pores over. Her inner voice to protect is enhanced by shame over her failure to recall details of the long-ago loss of her sis, just recently declared dead in absentia. When Enid is assigned to evaluate a troubling film from the archive that echoes her hazy youth memories, she begins to decipher exactly how this creepy job could be connected to her past.
