Fuad Ramses and his household have relocated from the USA to France, where they run a American diner. Since business is not going too well, Fuad also works night shifts in a museum of Egyptian society. During these long lonesome nights he is repetitively drawn to a statue standing for the seductive ancient goddess ISHTAR. He ends up being more and more attracted by the goddess as she talks with him in visions. At some point he succumbs to her lethal appeals.
