In 1965, Takeshi Kitano drops out of a college and also gets in the Asakusa France Za, which is an efficiency cinema. He comes to be a pupil to Senzaburo Fukami, that is a fabulous performer. Senzaburo Fukami demands that Takeshi Kitano maintain the way of thinking of a performer, not only on phase, but also in his day-to-day live. Takeshi Kitano cultivates his imagine becoming an artist with other pupils. Due to the popularity of TV, people go to the theater less and much less, but Takeshi Kitano invests his vibrant days with Senzaburo Fukami and various other apprentices that have lots of ability and unique individualities.
