Kemono Jihen
When a series of animal bodies that rot away after a single night start showing up in a remote hill village, Inugami, an investigative from Tokyo who focuses on the occult, is called to check out.
While working the case, he befriends an unusual boy that operates in the field daily as opposed to mosting likely to institution. Rejected by his peers and also nicknamed "Dorotab?" after a yokai that stays in the mud, he assists Inugami uncover the reality behind the murders-- however mythological forces go to work, and while Dorotab? is just a label, it might not be the only aspect of the boy that isn't human.
