The Long Island Serial Killer: A Mom's Hunt for Justice tells the tale of Mari Gilbert's search for the truth behind what happened to her daughter Shannan, an at some point escort who went away after a 'date' on Long Island. After Shannan (Katharine Isabelle, Hannibal) stops working ahead home, her mommy Mari (Kim Delaney) knows something is horribly incorrect. Begging to authorities to take her problems seriously, she maintains pushing the authorities for answers.
