In Ukraine, on the 26th of April 1986, a catastrophe drank the entire of Europe, and the globe experienced a deadly day that came to be etched in its history-- A significant nuclear mishap at Chernobyl transformed a whole city into a post-apocalyptic ghost town. 10s of thousands of lives were wrecked. Today, nature has begun redeeming the area of the exemption area surrounding the old nuclear power plant. However the effects and the suffering are still felt today. Chernobyl is a lesson for the present. It alerts us concerning the threats of our ever-evolving modern society. Yet Chernobyl taught us extra importantly concerning the cost of lies. By highlighting the problems in the Soviet Union system, it disclosed exactly how they can result in disaster, and also how the means we inform information regarding what actually took place can cause damage.
